Dr Hannan had radiologist appointments in London and as Consultant Radiologist at the University Hospital of Wales before returning to Adelaide in 1986. He held a Staff Radiologist position at the RAH 1987-1988 and a Senior Visiting Radiologist position at the Repat Hospital from 1991-2002. He has been a partner at Benson Radiology since 1989 and held the position of Deputy Managing Partner from 1999-2004. He held the Managing Partner position from 2004 to 2006.
