Dr Gupta is on the editorial committee of Imaging Guidelines RANZCR. He holds a senior staff specialist position at the Adelaide Women's & Children's Hospital (Paediatric and Nuclear Medicine Divisions)and is a College Examiner in Paediatric Radiology.
Dr Gupta is a member of the Sports Medicine Association (SA) and the Radiological Society of North America.
Dr Gupta became Managing Partner of Benson Radiology on 1st July 2012.
